Jason Lauritsen is the Chief Conservation Officer of the Florida Wildlife Corridor Foundation, overseeing land and water protection, science, and stewardship across the 18-million-acre Corridor. He previously led the Corridor Coalition as Executive Director and directed Audubon's Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary in the Western Everglades. His 20-plus-year career spans land-management science, wetland protection, and Wood Stork recovery, at the crossroads of conservation science and policy.
Nick Aumen is a Visiting Research Professor at the University of Florida and an aquatic ecologist who spent much of his career as a Regional Science Advisor with the U.S. Geological Survey, coordinating the USGS Greater Everglades Priority Ecosystem Sciences program and chairing the biennial Greater Everglades Ecosystem Restoration Science Conference. His research and science management spans Everglades restoration, Lake Okeechobee, and how a changing climate is reshaping water and rainfall across South Florida ó the science of keeping Florida's water systems connected and functioning.
