Laura Dhuwe is the State Hazard Mitigation Officer and Chief of Mitigation for the Florida Division of Emergency Management, where she oversees statewide mitigation planning and administers more than $3 billion in federal and state grant funding. She also directs Floridaís implementation of the National Flood Insurance Program across 468 communities. She holds a PMP certification and earned her Bachelorís degree from Michigan State University and her Masterís degree from Nova Southeastern University.
